Summer Programs

Arbor Place is committed to providing meaningful learning opportunities to kids in the summer months. Students who are not actively gained in educational activities over the summer experience learning loss.
Arbor Place holds five summer camps to combat learning loss and encourage skill development in Lancaster’s at-risk youth.

CREATE: Visual Arts Camp: Calling all young artists! This is a week of making friends and creating art with interesting materials and techniques. Campers will create a bowl or mug at a local pottery studio, hand-dye their own fabrics, make paper from scratch, learn the basics of figure drawing and much, much more!

CULTURE CAMP: Asia, Europe, Africa: A week-long adventure for kids who want to explore new places, languages, and ideas! Each participant receives a camp passport during their virtual travels around the world. This year we will visit China, Indonesia, India, Japan, United Kingdom, France, Spain, South Africa, Egypt, Uganda, and Ethiopia.

BE BRILLIANT: Science Camp: This camp is for anyone who loves experimenting and finding out how things work. Get ready for a week full of making friends and exploring science through field trips, experiments, and building epic machines! Science Camp is supported through donations to the EITC program.

TEENS WHO CREATE: TWC is camp for teenagers who want to work in the arts. Calling all designers, artists, writers, performers, and creatives of any kind! Students will visit art programs at universities, meet leaders from Lancaster’s creative scene, work on a team public art project, and get a crash course in preparing college portfolios and applications. If you want to make a career out of being creative, or just want to learn what the options are, then you’ll fit right in.

POWER UP!: Power Up is camp for teenagers to visit nearby universities, learn real life college and career skills, and connect with successful social enterprises and community leaders in Lancaster.

Vacation Bible School : In 2017 we are partnering with a local church to provide our second ever VBS. In this one week program we will expose kids to the story of the gospel through fun activities.
